James Meager, National Party Member of Parliament for Rangitata, was kind enough to come to celebrate our 100 year anniversary in February, and was interested to learn more on the process of making insulators. So a visit was arranged in early April for a tour through the factory. He had an opportunity to use a lathe to "turn" an insulator. He was surprised at how much work is required to make our products and the craftsmanship involved, and was very interested in what we do.
